Winter is set to make a comeback in the Alps with snow already falling in many resorts in Italy, France and Switzerland. The snow is now moving east and it is expected to hit Austria later today and this weekend. Some of the biggest snow falls are expected in Saas Fee and Zermatt with over 60cm predicted to fall over the weekend. Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes in the southern French Alps are also looking at some heavy snow in the next few days. “The new snow that is expected to fall in Europe this weekend is great news for those people heading out for an Easter break. After some warm temperatures last week, winter has returned!” said Al Morgan, Information Manager at the Ski Club. The Ski Club of Great Britain snow reports cover over 250 resorts and the Snow Overview on the Ski Club’s website (skiclub.co.uk) is updated on a Monday and Thursday, giving a comprehensive overview of the snow and weather around the world. The webcams on the skiclub.co.uk are also painting an exciting picture of falling snow.
