Although arguably the most beautiful lake in Italy, Lago Maggore or
ifyou prefer Lake Maggore also washes up in Switzerland. In fact along
its shores are some of that countrys major summer resort areas. The
names Locarno and Ascona spring quickly to mind. Nonetheless it is
officially Italys lake. Perhaps thats why they call it Lago Maggore.

Garda Lake or as the Italians and most tourist call it Lago di Garda, is the largest lake in Italy. This beautiful body of water is in the Northern part of Italy, and just around 100km from Milan, a little more from Venice and only about 40km from Verona.
It is, as the saying goes, a perfect vacation spot.
Naturally it has all of the water sports one could wish for, but the hotels and eateries that surround the lake are well renowned for food and service.
