Garda Lake or as the Italians and most tourist call it Lago di Garda, is the largest lake in Italy. This beautiful body of water is in the Northern part of Italy, and just around 100km from Milan, a little more from Venice and only about 40km from Verona.
It is, as the saying goes, a perfect vacation spot.
Naturally it has all of the water sports one could wish for, but the hotels and eateries that surround the lake are well renowned for food and service.
Because of its beauty and equally because of its location, Lago di Gardo is one of Italy,s major tourism destinations.
Sitting a relatively mountainous region of the Monte Maldo group, the area is also reached with some ease from Austria via the Brenner pass.
