PRESENTATION The MEZZALAMA TROPHY ,an Alpine
skiing competition unique throughout the world, is run on thin
skis, in strings of three determined, united men, and it touches
upon and exceeds heights of 4,000 metres, in suggestive, unequalled,
Alpine scenery, closed in by the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa; it
remains a reality which is very much alive, upon which the world
of the Aosta Valley, the Communities which operate at the feet
of the Alpine giants, the public administration and the lovers
of this speciality, can't possibly subtract themselves from reflecting
upon, with a decisive spirit, to bring it once more to the attention
of the international sporting world. Therefore: organises, to take
place at least every three years, the alpine ski competition
named Mezzalama Trophy, maintaining the principle characteristics
which have made it famous throughout the whole world; collects,
conserves and exploits information and publications regarding
the event; buys, conducts, conserves and improves fixed and floating
assets which are useful to its own institutional ends; promotes
studies and research, by way of conventions, conferences, publications,
exhibitions and any other initiative which may serve this purpose;
it is not a profit-making organization and any eventual profits
